The Chamber's "N.E.W." group needs a "new" name!

One of the Chamber's many committees, Women's Business Council, re-launched their group with new leadership and a new brand in March-Network of Executive Women aka "N.E.W." However, shortly after their launch the group gained special attention when it was discovered that another group across the country had the same name...and they had it copyrighted!

In true executive fashion, the ladies of the "N.E.W." steering committee jumped on the challenge of creating "new" name ideas. Help us pick a new name by taking the poll below!

Downers Grove Chamber Brings you The Evolution of Dance!

The Chamber's May General Membership was one to remember. By the end of the presentation Eddie Slowikowski of Eddiespeak.com had all 100 attendees on their feet dancing! Check out Eddie's Evolution of Dance in the video below.

Join us June 29th for a special Multi-Chamber Breakfast. And yes...we will try to have some dancing there too.

Golf Outing was a Swinging Success!

The Chamber hosted its 2011 First Swing! Annual Golf Classic at Ruffled Feathers in Lemont on May 12th. The weather was great and so were all the Members who attended! We had some new Members and Sponsors joining us this year, so it made for an excellent day of networking.

This year's golf committee worked hard to bring a twist to the standard spring outing. They came up with great new contests. For example:

BEER-a-MID, which offered the chance to win a pyramid of beer.

Wine on Nine, which allowed for a chance to win 15 bottles of wine.

And a crowd favorite - "Beat the Freshman!" Frank Ferconio, son of staff member Julie Ferconio, stepped up to be this year's freshman for the contest!
