Free on a Friday?





Students at Downers Grove North High School and Downers Grove South High School would like to learn from you! 

Our teachers know that outside guest speakers can bring a career to life to students more than any lecture or textbook. Students enrolled in AVID (which stands for Advancement Via Individual Determination and focuses on closing the achievement gap to prepare students for college and careers—see www.avid.org) are excited to learn from real-world professionals more about the following types of careers and paths:

Once on the list, a teacher will contact you when there’s a need and make arrangements with you directly to visit students in the classroom. 



Guest speakers are invited to come on Fridays during 50-minute time slots. (Periods run 12:40—1:30 p.m.; 1:35—2:25 p.m.; 2:30—3:20 p.m.)
